January Stacked
favorite reads, watches, listens, bites, and moments, plus what's been in my shopping cart this month!
I can’t be the only one obsessed with end of the year wrap ups, including Spotify Wrapped, Beli Plated, Flighty Passport, etc. I find it fascinating seeing everything I’ve consumed over the year. So, I thought, why not do that every month?
Introducing, January Stacked! I plan on sharing what I’ve read, watched, and listened to for the month, plus my favorite restaurants and moments in the city. It might vary from month-to-month, but I thought this would be a fun way to document the little moments in life.
One of my goals for this year is to be more intentional with my restaurant and bar selections. I’m happy to report that this month was filled with some of the best bars and restaurants I’ve been to in the city thus far.
My top two eats of the month:
L’Appartement 4F- a bakery that recently opened up a West Village location. Their everything croissant and chocolate chip cookie live in my mind rent free at all times. Not kidding…. thinking about making it a weekly treat.
Sip & Guzzle- a restaurant/ bar in the West Village (next door to Taylor Swift’s former house on Cornelia St.) No other chicken sandwich compares to theirs- think double fried, perfect topping to chicken ratio, soft bun, etc. Hands down the best chicken sandwich I’ve ever had and I will be back to try the rest of their menu.
My top two drinks of the month:
Bar Pisellino- the cutest bar in the West Village. The perfect spot to start a night out with unique drinks, exceptional service, and stellar vibes. Try the pistachio cocktail if you go!
Maison Premiere- an oyster/ cocktail bar in Williamsburg. I was instantly transported to New Orleans in the 1940s. The drinks, service, menu, and ambience were *chef’s kiss*. A great date night or girls night out spot!

I am back in my podcast era, and tbh, my lineup has never been better. We’ve got a mix of sports, news, pop culture, mental health, and comedy- very well rounded if I do say so myself.

A recent find that I am loving is The Squeeze with Taylor Lautner & Taylor Lautner (Yes, you read that right. They are married and have the same name… kinda iconic if you ask me). Their podcast focuses on mental health and they have such a stellar lineup of guests. My current favorite episode is a recent one with Mel Robbins, however I have gone back and listened to plenty of their backlist episodes this month.
As always, Giggly Squad keeps me giggling throughout the month, as does Therapuss with Jake Shane. Not Gonna Lie with Kylie Kelce is also a new find for me- something about listening to her is comforting for me? Not sure, but I also love her guests because they’re usually someone I’m not very familiar with and it’s fun to expand my knowledge!
Another listen this month… Teddy Swims new album. Guys… I am obsessed with his music. I’m begging you to go listen. My favorites from the album:
One of my fun goals for this year is to watch more TV! I was sick at home for a week this month, so all I did was watch TV- a great start to my goal for the year! I’m going to keep this short and sweet with a brief review of my shows/ movies this month (my version of rotten tomatoes but a lot less critical).
Selling the City (Netflix): 10/10, need a new season immediately.
Fly Me To The Moon (Apple TV): 9/10, I love any movie set in a different time period and especially loved this one. Will be watching again. Also… Channing Tatum and Scarlett Johansson, need I say more?
The Traitors (Peacock): 100000/10, You need to start season 3 immediately. New episodes come out every Thursday and I am obsessed.
XO, Kitty (Netflix): 8/10, I’ve heard mixed reviews of this one, and yes it is slightly cringey, however I ate it up.
The Great British Baking Show: Holidays (Netflix): 8/10. A great show to watch at night, the accents put me to sleep every time.
Last year, I read over 70 books, however I’ve found myself finding other hobbies that take up a lot of my time. I don’t see myself reading as much this year, but still want to read as many books as possible when I’m in the mood!
I read three books in the month of January- Hexed by by Emily McIntire (4/5 🌟), All We Ever Wanted by Emily Giffin (3/5 🌟), and Love on the Brain by Ali Hazelwood (3/5 🌟). It was an okay reading month, but I have high hopes for my February reads- I started a new book last night and I’ve devoured it, stay tuned for my rating in next month’s edition!
One of my favorite activities this month was going to a Knicks Game! It was my first time going to MSG and I had such a fun time! We munched on popcorn and hot dogs, watched the game, and hit happy hour beforehand (all on a Wednesday… I love NY).

Another fun activity this month was the Skims Valentine’s Pop Up in Noho! I stopped by during one of my morning walks and they had the absolute cutest and girliest collection- full of pink, red, hearts, and flowers. I came home with the cutest pink set that I’ve been living in recently.

On January 1st, I was so ready to take down my Christmas decor and clean out literally everything in my apartment. A refresh was needed for the New Year! I got to work and ended up selling a ton of clothes and home decor on Facebook Marketplace and then refreshed my bedroom with new artwork (compliments of FB Marketplace), throw pillows, and frames. I could not love the results more!!
I’ve still got a few more things up my sleeve, but I’m trying to pace myself!

Last but not least, a fun little glimpse into my shopping cart this month! While I only purchased two of these items, it’s fun to make little mood boards of things I’ve been eyeing!

Whether you know someone going through a breast cancer diagnosis, or just love pink and florals, this collection is for you! You’ll notice several of the items in my cart are from the collection!
